Just take this last item: In the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our entire nation's history. Over 27 times as fast!
Analogies:
If you are driving 65 MPH and a car passes you 27 times faster, it would be doing 1,755 MPH!
The Four Trillion dollar increase in the National Debt {that?s $4,000,000,000,000.00} can be related in several ways:
1.) If someone were to hand you a one hundred dollar bill every second of every day; 24 hours a day seven days a week; it would take 1,269 years to give you that 4 trillion dollars!!!! Or if someone started giving away $100.00 dollar bills at the same rate and they were just now running out they would have had to have started in the year 742 A.D.
2.) If you were to tape $100.00 bills end to end $4,000,000,000,000.00 would stretch out 379,000 miles; or driving at 60 miles an hour 24 hours a day seven days a week looking down at a string of $100.00 bills taped end to end it would take you almost 17 years to get to the end!!!!!! THINK about THAT the next time you are zipping down the thruway at 60 MPH!!!! Just look at the ground and imagine 17 years of hundred dollar bills end to end going by!!!!!!!!! It should make you as sick as me!!!!
